M'KENNA (Monmouthshire, N.)I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board if he can state in what number of cases local authorities have advanced money under the provisions of the Small Dwellings Acquisition Act, 1899, for enabling persons to acquire the ownership of small houses in which they reside.
§ MR. CHAPLINI can only repeat the answer which I gave to a similar question recently put to me by the hon. Member for Leicester✶—namely, that the Local Government Board have no information as to the number of cases in which local authorities have made advances under the Act referred to. Their jurisdiction, however, only extends to England and Wales.
