§ MR. LOUGHI beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether, considering the large majority by which the London Borough Councils (Women's Disabilities Removal) Bill passed its Second Reading on Wednesday last, the Government is willing to provide such facilities as will enable the measure to be passed into law this session, so that the first elections to these councils, which are fixed for the 1st November next, may take place under existing conditions.
§ MR. BOULNOIS (Marylebone, E.)Can the right hon. Gentleman promise similar facilities to the County and Borough Franchise Assimilation (London) Bill?
M. A. J. BALFOURBoth my hon. friends must be aware what insuperable objections there are to invidious selections being made in favour of Private Members' Bills.
