HC Deb 25 May 1900 vol 83 c1291
CAPTAIN NORTON (Newington, W.)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War if he can state the probable duration of the employment of Royal Artillery Reserve officers recalled to regimental duty in the present emergency, as the uncertainty now existing with respect to this matter throws a financial strain coupled with inconvenience upon the domestic arrangements of these officers.

* MR. J. POWELL-WILLIAMS (for Mr. WYNDHAM)

No, Sir. So long as the war lasts it is impossible to give any idea of the duration of their employment.
