HC Deb 25 May 1900 vol 83 cc1290-1
MR. COGHILL (Stoke-on-Trent)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether complaints are still being received as to the non-delivery of private parcels sent out to the troops in South Africa; and whether he is aware that the troops in the Natal field force have only received 75 per cent. of the Queen's boxes of chocolate, what has become of the remainder, and whether he has any information to show that a number of parcels, which have not been delivered, have been stolen.

* MR. J. POWELL-WILLIAMS (for Mr. WYNDHAM)

The answer to the first paragraph is in the negative, and we have no information to corroborate the statements in the second.
