MACALEESE (Monaghan, N)I beg to ask the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether he has seen an application for an increase of pension made by Patrick Finegan, late of the 41st Foot, and having regard to the fact that Finegan served close upon twenty-two years; in the Army entirely in India, and served through the Indian Mutiny, gaining three medals and clasp and four good conduct rings, and as he is now over sixty-four years of age, with a wife dependent upon him, will his application be granted.
* MR. J. POWELL-WILLIAMSThis man claimed his discharge in 1875 and received a pension of 1s. a day. This is the maximum rate admissible for his rank and service, and the regulations do not permit of any increase.
