§ MR. WILLIAM REDMONDI beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the suggestion of the Prime Minister as to rifle clubs, the Government will sanction the establishment of such clubs throughout Ireland.
§ * MR. WYNDHAMI understand that Irish rifle associations are already in existence. I do not, therefore, quite understand what the hon. Member means by the word "sanction."
§ MR. WILLIAM REDMONDWhat I mean is, will the Government allow the people of Ireland to obtain rifles and form clubs on the same lines as in this country?
§ * MR. WYNDHAMThe Government does not propose, either in Great Britain or Ireland, obviously, to give facilities for offences against the existing law; but I believe that outside the proclaimed districts in Ireland the law is the same in the two countries.
§ MR. WILLIAM REDMONDWill the hon. Gentleman see and have the law assimilated in the two countries?
§ * MR. SPEAKEROrder, order!
