HEALY (Louth, N.)I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury if any appeals have reached the Treasury, under the Irish Local Government Act of 1898, Schedule 7, Part 2, Sub-section 4, and whether any procedure or rules had been prescribed as to the manner of dealing with claims by officers which have been disallowed or cut down by the local authorities.
§ MR. HANBURYMany such appeals have been received, and, for the most part, have been disposed of. No rules of procedure have been prescribed. An appeal may be made in the form of a letter to the Treasury, setting out the facts of the case, with copies of the relevant documents.
