§ * SIR CHARLES D1LKE (Gloucestershire, Forest of Dean)I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether, in connection with any proposal to increase the amount payable to the relatives of private soldiers killed in battle, the Government will consider the wisdom of in all cases avoiding lump payments to widows, and of substituting annuity, and the possibility of making payments of annuities weekly instead of monthly.
