SIR HOWARD VINCENTI beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War if the Field Marshal Commanding-in-Chief in South Africa has made any report confirmatory of the alleged deflection of six feet to the right at 500 yards of certain rifles in possession of the mounted infantry of the City of London Imperial Volunteers; and, in such case, if the Secretary of State will take steps to ascertain exactly who is responsible for the issue of such weapons.
