§ * SIR CHARLES DILKEI beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether Her Majesty's Government intend to act on the recommendation of the Royal Commission on the Expenditure of India that, in order that there may be no ground for allegation that India is treated less favourably than other parts of Her Majesty's Empire, Parliament should be asked to make a contribution towards the charge of the India Office.
§ MR. A. J. BALFOURI think the general answer which I gave the other day to a similar question applies to the specific point which the right hon. Baronet has raised. It is impossible, without a great deal more consideration than the Government has been able to give to it, to come to any decision upon the point.
