MR. PATRICK O'BRIENI beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether he can give the name of the contractor who is alleged to have been engaged to construct a line of railway between Rosslare or Wexford and Waterford, the exact date upon which the contract was signed, and the date fixed in the contract for the completion of the work.
§ MR. HANBURYThe contract, which, as I stated on Friday, is only for about twenty-one miles of the line, has been concluded with Messrs. McAlpine and Sons, of Glasgow. I do not know the exact date on which it was signed, but I understand that the works are to be completed by 30th June, 1903.
