HC Deb 16 March 1900 vol 80 cc1064-5
MR. JOHN WILSON (Falkirk)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether a man who is accepted for service in a reserve battalion will be allowed on the expiry of his twelve months service to re-engage into the Regular Army, holding the same rank as he had in the reserve battalion, and conditions as to age.

MR. WYNDHAM

The reply is in the negative; but exception may be made when it is considered that the service would benefit. The question of policy has been discussed in recent debates.
