HC Deb 19 June 1900 vol 84 cc445-6
MR DEWAR (Edinburgh, S.)

I bog to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster General, when the scheme of revision of the sorting branch of the Edinburgh Post Office, which has been under consideration for about two years, is likely to be sanctioned, and if he would say what has been the cause of the delay.

THE FINANCIAL SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Mr. HANBURY,) Preston

The scheme is at present under the consideration of the Treasury. As explained to the Hon. Member on the 8th ult. it involves many details, but, it is hoped, will be decided very shortly.
