SIR E. ASUMEAD-BARTLETTI beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether Her Majesty's Government have formally abandoned large and rich portions of Northern Asia Minor and the Euphrates Valley as spheres of interest for railway construction and commercial development to other great Powers, or have Her Majesty's Government recognised any such spheres of interest, to the exclusion of British manufacture and commerce.
