FLOWERI beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether he is able to comply with the request contained in the memorial presented to him by the Association for Promoting the Welfare of the Feeble-Minded, and will cause an inquiry to be hold as to the number and condition of feeble-minded paupers, not certifiable as lunatics.
§ MR. CHAPLINThis matter is receiving my consideration, and I propose in the first instance to endeavour to obtain from the guardians information with respect to the number and condition of persons of the class referred to who are in workhouses.
