§ MR. C. P. SCOTTI beg to ask the Secretary of State for India if he can state the total number of deaths from cholera in the famine districts, including the native States, since the beginning of the famine.
§ LORD G. HAMILTONI have not yet received full statistics of cholera deaths in British districts and native States since the beginning of the famine. When cholera became severely epidemic, I asked for weekly telegrams regarding the ravages; and in my answer yesterday I quoted the totals of the figures given in those telegrams which are published with the famine telegrams in the newspapers.
