HC Deb 20 July 1900 vol 86 cc646-7
MR. C. P. SCOTT (Lancashire, Leigh)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether a proclamation has been issued at Pretoria under which such women as are believed to be the wives of men who are fighting against us are to be driven into the enemy's lines; whether among these women are any who have been rendered destitute through the burning of their farms and crops; and whether the proclamation will be enforced against children as well as, women.

* MR. WYNDHAM

No intimation to this effect has been received at the War Office.
