GIBSON BOWLESI beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, does he propose to proceed with the motion for the Second Reading of the Savings Banks and Friendly Societies Bill, which substitutes a varying rate of interest for the fixed rates now payable by law to the depositors in Post Office Savings Banks; and, if so, can he say on what day the Second Reading debate will be taken.
