§ SIR. E. ASHMEAD-BARTLETT (Sheffield, Ecclesall)I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether there is to be any formal inquiry by the military authorities into the causes of any of the captures of British troops during the campaign in South Africa.
§ *MR. WYNDHAMThe Queen's Regulations lay down that an inquiry must be held in such cases. We have no doubt that the Commander-in-Chief will sec that such an inquiry is held whenever the circumstances demand it.
