M'CARTAN () Down, S.I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland with reference to the contributory poor law unions, whether the refund from the excise and customs duties is about to cease; and, if so, whether an equal grant will be made from some other source to those unions that decide to remain contributory, and to the others that may become contributory.
