§ SIR WALTER FOSTER (, Ilkeston) DerbyshireI beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether, seeing that no recruit can be enlisted for the Royal Army Medical Corps if he is over 5 ft. 5 in. in height, however otherwise eligible he may be, this restriction, which prevents enlistment of men otherwise eligible in this branch of the service, can be removed.
§ * MR. WYNDHAMThe maximum standard for the corps is 5 ft. 5 in., but a taller man, who might for special reasons be eligible, would be taken as "specially enlisted."
