FARRELLI beg to ask Mr. Attorney General for Ireland whether he can give the date on which he proposes to introduce the short Bill to amend the Local Government (Ireland) Act, 1898; and whether any statement will be made on the subject before the close of the current financial half year, or whether any change in the incidence of rates on town holdings will be included in the provisions of the promised Bill.
§ MR. ATKINSONI cannot at present fix a date for the introduction of the Bill in question, but it will be introduced at as early a date as possible. Pending the introduction of the measure I can make no statement as to its contents.
