§ COLONEL LOCKWOOD () Essex, EppingI beg to ask the Vice-President of the Committee of Council on Education whether, in view of the transference of the educational powers of the Board of Agriculture which may, under Section 2, Sub-section 2, of the Board of Education Act, devolve upon the Board of Education in April next, there will be established a department of the Board of Education to deal specifically with technical education, to which department such powers might be transferred.

If transferred at all, they will be transferred to the Board of Education, and not to a department, and "will be exercised by the President of the Board of Education.
