§ CAPTAIN NORTONI beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the abortive result of the War Office Reorganisation Committee after sitting for sixteen months, the Secretary of State will consider the advisability of dissolving that committee and appointing a fresh one for the purpose of investigating the methods of conducting business in the military, financial, ordnance, and works and buildings departments of the War Office; and whether he would have any objection to associate with that inquiry some of the Members of this House who have had wide experience in the conduct of commercial and professional undertakings, and others who are acquainted with the requirements of the Army.
