FARRELL () Cavan, W.I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster General, whether any complaints have been recently made to the Department as to the delivery of letters under the new arrangements at Stradone, county Cavan; whether he is aware that some hundred families are not attended to owing to the route taken by the rural carrier; and 94 whether some steps will be taken to see that each portion of the sub-district is equally served.
§ MR. HANBURYNo complaints have recently been made as to the delivery of letters at Stradone, County Cavan. The Postmaster General is not aware that some hundred families are not attended to owing to the route taken by the rural letter carrier. There are several rural postmen working from Stradone, and it is believed that every family in the district has now a delivery of letters. If the hon. Member can quote any particular case in which the arrangements are not considered satisfactory, inquiry shall be made.
