HC Deb 12 February 1900 vol 78 cc1238-9
MR. GORDON (Elgin and Nairn)

I beg to ask the Vice-President of the Committee of Council on Education whether the Departmental Committee, which was originally appointed for the re-organisation of the Education Department and the Science and Art Department, and whose reference has since been enlarged to cover the organisation of the Board of Education, has yet presented any report on any, or on all, of the matters now included in its reference; and whether he will now communicate such report or reports to the House.

THE VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE COMMITTEE OF COUNCIL ON EDUCATION (Sir J. GORST,) Cambridge University

The Committee have made already two interim reports. The final report is shortly expected. When that report is received, if the hon. Member will ask the question again, I will let him know if it can be laid on the Table.
