FARRELL (Kerry, S.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether any ejectment decrees were obtained at the late Kenmare Quarter Sessions by local landed proprietors named Warden against their tenants; whether he can state how many of the tenants proceeded against 931 were judicial tenants, and how many, if any, were future tenants; and whether he can also say how many evicted farms are in the Warden estate.
§ MR. ATKINSONThe number of ejectment decrees referred to in the first paragraph of the hon. Member's question appears to have been four. The Government cannot undertake to advise as to the legal status of the tenants proceeded against, and it would be contrary to practice to furnish information of the nature indicated in the concluding portion of the question.
