HC Deb 05 February 1900 vol 78 c580
MR. THOMAS J. HEALY (Wexford, N.)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster General, what is the cause of the delay in commencing the building of the proposed new post office in Enniscorthy; and if he can state when the work is likely to be begun.

MR. HANBURY

When tenders were obtained for the new Post Office building at Enniscorthy, the lowest one was so much in excess of the authorised expenditure that it was necessary to recast the plans with a view to reducing the expense. The Board of Public Works express the hope that the new building will be begun in April next.
