§ MR. WEIRI beg to ask the Lord Advocate, in view of the inadequate provision made by owners of deer forests for preventing deer destroying the crops of crofters, will the Secretary for Scotland consider the expediency of introducing legislation such as will enable crofters residing in the vicinity of deer forests to obtain certificates of exemption from gun licence in order that they may be enabled to protect their crops from the ravages of deer.
