§ Mr. HOGANI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is in a position to indicate the date on which the Royal Proclamation calling the Australian Commonwealth into being will be issued.
§ Mr. J. CHAMBERLAINUntil the result of the referendum in Western Australia has been dealt with by the Parliament of the colony I am not in a position to advise Her Majesty as to the date for the issue of the Proclamation.
