§ MR. ARNOLD-FORSTER (Belfast, W.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether his attention has been drawn to resolutions which have been passed by certain. United Irish League courts in the county of Kerry, which were identical in character with the resolutions passed by a Land League court in 1887; and whether the Irish Government proposes to take any steps to protect life and property in districts where these courts are held.
§ MR. G. W. BALFOURMy attention has been drawn to resolutions of the kind mentioned in the first paragraph, stated to have been passed at an indoor meeting of the Lixnaw branch of the United Irish League. The Irish Government will continue, as heretofore, to take all such measures as may appear proper for the preservation of life and property in this or any other district in Ireland.
