HC Deb 27 April 1900 vol 82 c117
MR. CALDWELL (Lanarkshire, Mid)

On behalf of the hon. Member for Kirkcaldy, I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether he can state the name of the officer in immediate command of the convoy captured at Koorn Spruit.

* MR. WYNDHAM

No, Sir. I do not know what officer commanded the baggage train of the 2nd regiment of cavalry, the i battalion of mounted infantry, and the two batteries of Royal Horse Artillery, under Brigadier-General Broadwood.

MR. CALDWELL

Will the hon. Gentleman make inquiry?

* MR. WYNDHAM

I shall certainly do nothing of the kind. General Broadwood has made a report to Lord Roberts, who can take what action he may think necessary.
