HC Deb 27 April 1900 vol 82 cc119-20
MR. WEIR (ROSS and Cromarty)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether Presbyterian ministers are not allowed to conduct services for the troops in the Cantonment churches in India built at the public expense; and, if so, can arrangements be made such as will afford the troops stationed in India opportunities for attending Presbyterian services in these churches instead of in the open air.

* THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIA (Lord G. HAMILTON, Middlesex, Ealing)

If the hon. Member will refer to the Papers on this subject which I laid on the Table before the Recess, he will see exactly how the matter stands, and what arrangements have been made for providing facilities of worship for Presbyterian troops.
