§ Mr. OLDROYDreported from the Committee on Group B of Private Bills, That the parties opposing the Gas Light and Coke, Commercial Gas, and South Metropolitan Gas Companies Bill had stated that the evidence of Professor Vivian Lewes was essential to their case; and it having been proved that his attendance could not be procured without the inter- 1389 vention of the House, he had been instructed to move that the said Professor Vivian Lewes, of 18, Lower Whitecross Street, London, do attend the said Committee To-day, at Three of the clock.
