CHANNING (Northamptonshire, E.)I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War whether any instructions have been, or are to be, sent to the military authorities at Simons Town as to any change of treatment of the Boer prisoners which may become necessary owing to the outbreak of fever among the prisoners; and whether a portion or the whole of them can be transferred to quarters on the mainland; and what arrangements are being made at St. Helena for adequate medical treatment in case of further serious extension of fever among the prisoners to be transferred to St. Helena.
§ *MR. WYNDHAMThe Boer prisoners who are suffering from enteric fever have been transferred from the ships to quarters on shore. Every arrangement has been made for adequate medical treatment at St. Helena.
