GORDON (Elgin and Nairn)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies if the Government have any information to the effect that ex-President Steyn has issued a proclamation that English burghers refusing to take up arms on the Boer side will be shot; and, if so, what steps the British Government propose to take in the matter.
