I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for War of what troops the garrison of Mauritius is at present composed.

I must apologise for not having the figures with me, but I think the right hon. Baronet knows the situation well. We have two colonial battalions at Mauritius. We have had half a battalion of British infantry there, but it has been removed. I prefer not to go into details.
