I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster-General, whether any decision has yet been arrived at concerning the case of the Queenstown postmen.

THE FINANCIAL SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (MR. HANBURY,) Preston

The Postmaster-General has decided, with the concurrence of the Treasury, to raise the seals of the town postmen at Queenstown from 16s. rising to 22s. a week to 17s., rising to 24s. a week, and the scale of the rural postmen who work from Queenstown from 16s. to 20s. a week, to 17s. to 22s. a week, to date from the 13th inst.
