MR. P. O'BRIENOn behalf of the honourable Member for the St. Patrick Division of Dublin I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Government will consider the necessity of introducing a Bill to remedy the existing expensive and inconvenient method of Private Bill legislation for Ireland.
§ * MR. G. W. BALFOURIt must be obvious to the honourable Member that it would be impossible to introduce and pass a Bill dealing with this subject during the present session. As to the general question, I consider that some reform in the method of Private Bill legislation for Ireland is desirable.
