I beg to ask the Lord Advocate, if he will state the number of Gaelic-speaking pupil teachers employed in each of the six Highland crofting counties in giving bilingual instruction to Gaelic-speaking children?

The number of pupil teachers in the counties referred to, on whose account payment was made for bilingual instruction to Gaelic-speaking children, was in Argyll 11, Inverness 10, Rossshire 6, and Sutherland 2.
