I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster-General, whether, when a postman is compulsorily removed from one town to another for the convenience of the Department, the cost attendant on his removal is refunded to him?

Yes, if the honourable Member means the reasonable expenses actually incurred.

MR. STEADMAN

In removing his furniture, etc.

MR. HANBURY

Yes, all reasonable expenses are paid.
