§ MR. WEIRI beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether the Congested Districts Board have yet arrived at a decision in regard to an application made to the Board in February last by the County Council of Ross and Cromarty, urging that the grant in aid of the construction of a pier at Valtos (Lewis) should be increased to £1,900.
§ MR. A. GRAHAM MURRAYI am informed by the Congested Districts Board that on the 13th of May last a grant of £1,800, or 92 per cent. of the 988 total estimated cost of the Valtos Pier was intimated to the local authority, but to this there has as yet been no reply.
