HC Deb 20 June 1899 vol 73 cc62-3
SIR CHARLES CAMERON (Glasgow, Bridgeton)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether he can lay upon the Table of the House any official Reports on the results of inoculation in India against cholera, typhoid, and the plague.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIA (LORD G. HAMILTON,) Middlesex, Ealing

The hon. Member is aware that a Commission has for some time past been investigating the whole question of the plague in India, including that of the various forms of inoculation. I hope that weir Report may shortly he ready for publication; and I should be disposed to await it before presenting any other papers on the subject to which the hon. Member's question refers. I should add that as regards inoculation against typhoid fever no official Reports are as yet available.
