BOULNOIS (Marylebone, E.)I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether the Board is obtaining Returns under the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th schedules of the Life Assurance Companies Act, 1870, from those members of Lloyd's and others who have issued policies of insurance upon human life within the United Kingdom: and whether such persons who have begun such business since the passing of the Act have been required to make the deposit of £20,000 specified in the 3rd section thereof.

The Board of Trade have no information that any member of Lloyd's or other individual has issued or incurred any liability under such policies except as a member of a life assurance office.
