WILSONI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether an ordinance in reference to venereal disease has lately been passed in the Straits Settlements; and whether he will lay upon the Table any correspondence on the subject, as promised on the 8th May 1898, together with a copy of the ordinance.

Member's question, and the protection of women and girls. It will shortly be passed, with slight amendment. The correspondence will be given at once.
