HC Deb 03 July 1899 vol 73 c1279
MR. LOGAN (Leicestershire, Harborough)

I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board if it is intended by his Department that the public vaccinator's visit and offer to vaccinate, under Section 1, Sub-section 3, of the Vaccination Act, 1898, shall take the place of the opportunity afforded by the vaccination stations now abolished, and such visit and offer to vaccinate be made before any proceedings are instituted against persons who became defaulters since the 1st of January, 1899.

THE SECRETARY TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. T. W. RUSSELL,) Tyrone, S.

I am advised that in the case of any child who has attained the age of six months since the 31st December last, the public vaccinator must visit and offer to vaccinate before any proceedings are instituted in respect of the non-vaccination of the child.
