HC Deb 17 February 1899 vol 66 c1294
MR. SINCLAIR (Essex, Romford)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that a footbridge has not yet been constructed at the Hart's Lane level crossing of the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway; and, having regard to the fact that several persons have been killed at this crossing, will he state whether steps will be taken to require the railway company to construct a footbridge forthwith?

THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF TRADE

The company obtained powers in their Act of last Session to close Hart's Lane and build a footbridge, and the Board understand that it is the company's intention to proceed with the necessary work.
