§ CAPTAIN DONELANI beg to ask the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether any new conditions have been inserted in recent contracts limiting the proportion of foreign meat supplied to the troops in Ireland; and whether any: steps have been taken with a view to distinguish foreign from home grown meat?
MR. POWELL WILLIAMSIn regard to the first part of the Question, my reply is in the negative. In regard to the second part, no new steps have been taken to distinguish foreign from home grown meat. Army Service Corps officers have instructions to distinguish the two kinds of meat as far as it is possible to do so.
§ CAPTAIN DONELANMay I ask whether, under the present system, it is not possible for the troops in Ireland to be fed exclusively on foreign meat?
