§ * MR. HEDDERWICKIt was my intention upon this Resolution to raise the question of the policy of the Government in the Protectorate and Colony of Sierra Leone; but at this late hour of the night (9.55) it would be impossible to do so. I must say that we have not been treated very handsomely by the Government in regard to this Vote. I allude to the way in which it has been postponed. But I desire to intimate that I shall call the attention of the House to this question if I can find an opportunity upon the Second Reading of the Appropriation Bill. In the meantime, to mark my sense of the gravity of the subject, I beg to move the reduction of the Vote by £100.
