HC Deb 13 April 1899 vol 69 c981
SIR SEYMOUR KING

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether he would say how many claims for exchange compensation allowance for Indian Civil Servants remain to be dealt with; and whether a decision on those claims could be hastened?

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIA

I have no means of ascertaining the number of claims that remain to be dealt with, but it is, as I have already stated, a comparatively small one. Every effort will be made to accelerate a decision on the points still under consideration, which have been found to be extremely difficult of solution.
